Job Advert Role Description

We do something special, be a part of it!

At our site in Frome, we are looking to recruit dedicated staff to join our education support services team.  We support young people between the age of 16 - 25 with Autism, Asperger's syndrome and associated complex needs.  We want support workers who will inspire and guide our young people to their personal best.

As an Education Support Worker, you will:

  • Be a key member of our team, supporting the delivery of education to our students within the College, external colleges and work placements
  • Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both young people and their families
  • Participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience to support our young people.

This role requires individuals to work flexibly with the ability to demonstrate a high degree of emotional resilience and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

What we would like from you:

  • A clean driving licence with at least 3 years driving experience is essential
  • It is an expectation of the role that all Learning Support Workers will either work towards or already hold the level 3 Diploma for Children and Young Peoples Workforce.

What's in it for you?

For amazing work, we give amazing rewards:

  • £1,000 monthly lotto
  • 100’s of online discounts and cash back deals
  • Cash for colleagues - Earn money for friends you recommend
  • Priory Group pension.

We look after your career too, with our career pathways you, like many of our staff, can go from support worker up to CEO level with guidance and learning supplied by us!

We are keen to hear from you if you are flexible and happy to work evenings and weekends on a part time basis.  We are happy to consider flexible shift patterns, including days, early/late shifts and weekends - this can be discussed in more detail at interview.
