Job Advert Role Description

Our Children’s Home near Chesterfield are recruiting a Waking Night Support Worker to join their family.  Moorfield House is a semi rural Children’s Home on the outskirts of Temple Normanton village near Chesterfield. We care for up to 3 young people aged 9 - 16+ years exhibiting Behavioural, Emotional, and Social Difficulties

As a Night Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our young people. Through a warm, welcoming and relaxed approached with a structured environment, we encourage young people to develop social, educational and practical skills to lead a fulfilling life set in beautiful surroundings.

Please note, this role is to cover maternity with prospect of becoming permanent.

Duties include:

  • Working three 10 hour shifts, three days on, six days off
  • Working as a team you will ensure the home is kept to a good standard in all aspects of housekeeping
  • Manage the well-being and behaviour of young people ensuring behaviours are addressed promptly and sensitively.

A Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification is desirable but not essential for this role. Previous experience of working with Young People with challenging behaviours would be desirable, however if you have the right personality we will support you to gain and develop your experience.
