Elm Park is a 17 bedded inpatient Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit in Ardleigh which specialises in the assessment, care and treatment of adult residents (18+ years) with an acquired brain injury. We also have 2 step down community houses in the local area.

An exciting opportunity has opened up for a dynamic Therapy Assistant to join our clinical team.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of therapeutic interventions on a 1:1 and group level planned with the support of the Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist and Speech & Language Therapist.


The role will also require you to carry out and contribute to assessing patients and monitoring their rehabiliation progress. This will be done through devising and following a balanced therapy timetable and recording all sessions on Carenotes.


The successful candidate will have excellent listening, communication and documentation skills. You will be motivated, highly reliable and able to work within an emotionally demanding environment. You will be able to demonstrate a positive, creative and an imaginative approach to problem solving. The successful candidate will also need to be able to form a good rapport with patients and the transdisciplinary team.


It is desirable that you will have relevant experience within a challenging healthcare enviornment and some knowledge about therapy processes. The role involves taking service users in to the community and on rehabilitation trips therefore it is essential for the post holder to have a full UK driving licence.
