Burton Park is a neurobehavioral locked rehabilitation hospital for patients with acquired brain injury and neuroprogressive conditions patient displaying co-existing neuropsychiatric conditions and challenging behaviour.

As part of the catering team you will be required to support the provision of the catering operation, assisting with basic food preparation, hygiene and ensuring the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and procedures. Successful Candidates will be trained to these standards.

• To ensure that the kitchen cleaning rota is adhered to at all times and that the kitchen is hygienically clean.

• Transport of meals to the relevant wards and other eating locations as required

• Simple food preparation under the direction of the chef

• To load the dishwasher and/or wash-up by hand when required

• To ensure all washed items are clean and dry before putting them away

• To assist with the ordering of supplies if requested to do so

• To assist to put away any supplies delivered to the Home promptly

As part of your role you may be required to assist in the management of situations that challenge the service and will provide you with the necessary training to enable you to deal with such situations in an appropriate and safe way.

Previous experience in a catering environment is not essential as full training is provided.
