We at Priory group are seeking to recruit Senior Support Workers based at our shared living sites in Immingham, just outside of Grimsby.  The site provides support for people with learning disabilities, autism, and behaviours that are challenging and profound physical disabilities. The service users live busy lives filled with activity. Due to the complex needs of those we support, many individuals require 1:1 or 2:1 support day to day.

The Senior Support Worker position is a busy role that provides a high standard of care and support to service users with learning disabilities, autism, mental ill-health and behaviours that may challenge and profound physical disabilities.

It is a challenging yet very rewarding role, and no shift will be the same.

The Job:

  • To provide support to the residents with complex needs in their everyday lives
  • Tasks involved with daily living such as maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Participate and initiate activities in and outside of the home.
  • Provide support that will enable the service user to live as independently as possible.
  • Use skills, previous experiences and knowledge to respond to challenging situations & behaviours
  • Support staff with coaching, mentoring and personal development
  • Team management – lead the shift, plan activities and staff rotas.

We are looking for a candidate who has experience within a similar role/ environment or someone who has been a support worker and fells ready to take the next step in their career. The successful candidate will have access to our Priory Adult care careers pathways, a number of courses to assist self-development towards leadership and management (NVQs, train the trainer).
