Job Advert Role Description

Priory have an exciting new opportunity to join our IT Team as a Group IT System Specialist. This is a great opportunity for anybody that is looking to join a leading private healthcare organisation that offer real development and career progression opportunities. The role will support tracking and delivery of software updates on BAU applications, as well as supporting with new projects. The Group IT System Specialist will be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the business and with our suppliers, you will also ensure that all software systems and procedures adhere to company values and comply with the IT security policy, data protection act and other relevant standards.  

Group IT System Specialist duties include but not limited to

  • Ensure delivery and testing phases of projects and BAU updates are on track and meet the required time-frames as set by the business
  • Work alongside the IT Implementation & Training Specialists and Project Team to ensure pilot phases of all new systems or features strictly adhere to the documented process
  • Liaise proactively with all stakeholders should target dates not be achievable and find a suitable resolution
  • Liaise with the eLearning Specialists to ensure the training modules are always up to date following any modification or change in process

What we would like from a Group IT System Specialist

  • Knowledge of Application Change Management and UAT processes
  • Ability to work within budgets and to tight timescales, along with an ability to work both individually and as part of a team
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • The role holder will regularly be dealing with demanding and difficult situations, with a wide range of both internal and external stakeholders, requiring highly developed and well-practiced communication and interpersonal skills
  • Current full UK driving licence, covered for business use on own motor vehicle. Regular visits to sites and central support function offices
