Located close to Moseley Village, Mayfield House is a 7 bedded unit, which  provides individualised care for women recovering from severe and enduring mental health illness.

Our aim is to help residents regain skills and develop positive risk-taking in order to move into education and employment.

We look at what can be achieved for each person, their abilities, interests and needs. We work within a positive environment to encourage confidence, bring structure, inclusion and opportunity in their lives.

Job Advert Role Description

The role of the Deputy Manager is to provide senior nursing leadership to the ward.  You will have a clincial experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the team and ward.  You will have defiend delegated responislbilites from the Director of Clinical Services. you will have responsiblities of the day to day management of the ward and staff including monthy supervisons, appraisals for staff.

 

 

Role requirements:

 

• Extensive knowledge of  of mental health services.

Strong focus on service development, service evaluation, cascading clinical processess and procedures.

Ensuring safet and therapueutic enviorment for patients and visitors.

To ensure risk is assessed and managed throughout the ward

Flexible to work weekends and bank holidays when required.

To attend ward rounds, CPA's.

You will receive clinical supervsion.

To Complete Pre Admission Assessments for Patients.

To ensure a high standard of evidence-based recovery care is consistently delivered to patients. To ensure that a safe, cost effective service is provided. To act as a role model and patient advocate, ensuring a positive patient experience for all.

To be responsible for Information Governance standards.

• Promote good relationships with patient, relatives, public, other care organisations and all members of the multidisciplinary care team.

To ensure audit compliance (CQC).

Complete monthly reporting to HD

Health and Safety Compliant at all times

To carry out clinical superivisons.

To work from Beverley House one day a week.

• Promote good communication skills written and verbally
