Kneesworth House is a 155 bed mental health hospital situated in Cambridgeshire (on the borders of Hertfordshire) with good commuting access to / from London. The hospital has a full pathway of care including medium, low secure, locked rehabilitation and open recovery wards situated across the site.

Role Description

This is a newly created role for a registered psychologists on our Low Secure & Recovery/Rehabilitation Services comprising open and locked units for male and female patients. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic psychologist who is a team player and looking for an exciting opportunity to develop clinically and professionally. You will join a large and supportive Psychology Department of 6 psychologists, one trainee forensic psychologist, three assistant psychologists and a part time art psychotherapist. Description of a current psychology team member’s experience of working at Kneesworth: “Kneesworth is set in a beautiful environment, its open, surrounded by trees and shares boundaries with farm land. The Psychology team provides a space to be open, creative and supported as well as being challenged. The broad skill set and variation in the team allows for insight informed from different theoretic models and lively debate. The work is demanding and challenging with a supportive direct group and broader hospital group. Thank you for making this available.” We believe that investment in the development of individuals through CPD is essential as evidenced by agreed training over the recent past e.g. EMDR, ADOS/ADI-R, Narrative therapy, ACT and Schema Therapy.
