Nelson House is a rehabilitation and recovery hospital catering for adult males with a long term mental illness, many of whom have experienced history of substance misuse and require intensive recovery support to move to a more independent setting. Comprising of three wards. Victory, Trafalgar and Mary Rose Ward have a focus on the development of skills for independence. All wards provide a positive step for patients, many whose next step will be living in the community.

We are looking for a Recovery Support Worker to join the Recovery Support Team of our 30 bedded rehabilitation and recovery hospital.

As a support worker, you will have the opportunity to support our service users with their day to day lives, encouraging them to live as independently as possible. You may get involved in activities outside of the hospital too as service users are supported to prove their recovery in the community.

Our ideal support worker will:

•           Have a great sense of humour

•           Be reliable, friendly and caring to help our service users achieve their everyday goals (including personal care)

•           Be able to support in house activities and hobbies

•           Be attentive and inspire our service users to achieve more! ‘Can do’ attitude.

•           Brilliant, ongoing training to help you achieve more

•           Support of an experienced and friendly team of colleagues
