Job Advert Role Description

Centrally located with easy access to Tunbridge Wells, Hastings, Ashford and Maidstone, The Priory Hospital, Ticehurst House has 70 beds across 3 service lines: Adult Acute and young peoples wards (CAMHs). We offer comprehensive inpatient and outpatient specialist mental health services for young people and adults in a safe and supportive environment. We have recently expanded our service with the addition of a newly purpose built 12 Bed Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

We are seeking a full time  Social Worker to manage monitor and review an assigned caseload within our CAMHS service. The successful candidate will work as part of the MDT to provide holistic support to clients and their families, working with partnership agencies to ensure matters of social care and transition home are safely managed.  You will co-ordinate, negotiate and manage mandatory processes and procedures ensuring the hospital's compliance with statutory regulation. The post holder will be the designated lead for CAMHS safeguarding. 


The social worker role is highly valued by the MDT and the post holder will work closely with the established team which includes consultant psychiatrists, doctors, nursing staff and full range of  therapists to QNIC standards.  Senior managers will listen to your thoughts and ideas and you have the opportunity to be really inolved with and to influence  the future direction of our services.


We are seeking applicants with:

A degree level social work qualification

Current HCPC registration

Knowledge of current legislation

Experience of safeguarding

Experience of working in a multi disciplinary setting in relation to mental health
