Job Advert Role Description

Priory Adult Care is the UK’s leading independent provider of specialist adult care services. Our aim is to provide the right support in the right home for all the individuals we accommodate.

With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.

Priory Adult Care, specialises in providing person-centred support to  adults with Autism and associated complex support needs, in CQC-registered residential settings in the Preston and South Ribble area. Staff work as a team to support the adults to achieve their desired outcomes, live the most fulfilled life possible and maximise their independence.

As a Support Worker you will be a key member of our team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our service users. Through a creative and caring approach, you will build good relationships with both service users and their families, supporting service users in the planning of goals and in living as independently as possible. Both personal care and participation in activities are key tasks for the role, so energy and initiative is vital; experience however is not essential, providing you have a willingness to learn and the compassion and patience needed to support.

What we’d like from you:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective organisational capability
  • Great team player
  • Flexibility to respond to the changing needs of those who we support
  • Strong “can do” attitude

If you have a positive and caring nature, and want to develop your skills and have the drive to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support, then this is the oppportunity for you.

Successful candidates will join a team of committed and dedicated staff who have a passion for achieving positive outcomes.

At Lynbrook  we deliver a high quality individualised care and support. We offer support to the people living at Lynbrook in all aspects of their lives including personal care, independent living skills, community based activities home visits and holidays in a full time residential setting.
