Rugeley School is currently recruiting for a House manager to join their team.

Rugeley School is an independent residential school for children with Autism from the age of 5-19 years.  Our school, which opened in May 2000, stands at the forefront in the education of children with Autism.

The successful applicant will be expected to work as a senior member of staff working flexibly on a shift basis.

As a House manager your duties will include:

  • General day to day running’s of the school
  • Covering vacancies and annual leave
  • Shift leading
  • Work with staff to ensure that required duties are completed
  • Implementing and adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Employment and induction of new staff

Due to the shift patterns you must be flexible in your working hours.
This is a physically and emotionally demanding role you must be resilient, proactive and be able to think fast on your feet.

Due to the location of the site access to own vehicle would be beneficial.

For this role you must  either have or be working towards Diploma Level 3 Health & Social Care Residential Childcare or equivalent.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a disclosure at the enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.  Further information can be obtained from www.gov.uk/dbs
