About our Hospital

Set back within 1.5 acres of landscaped gardens, the tranquil environment of the Priory Hospital Southampton offers therapeutic and recovery focused residential treatment as well as day care and outpatient services.

Priory Hospital Southampton is a smoke-free hospital that provides 40 beds across 3 wards.  The  services provided at the hospital include a young peoples ward (CAMHs) and treatment of most psychiatric conditions and Eating Disorders.

We have a highly experienced team of mental health professionals and support staff, which include consultant psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses and therapists.The feedback we receive from our service users stands proof that the quality of work delivered by our multidisciplinary team is of an outstanding standard:

The Specialist CAMHS Practitioner Mental Health – Early Intervention Lead role is an exciting opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary team at the Priory Hospital Southampton.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the Registered Specialist CAMHS Practitioner – Early Intervention Lead will be required to:

•           Work as an effective member of the Multi- Disciplinary team.

•           Promote the best interests of the patients and carers and ensure that prescribed nursing care is effectively implemented.

•           Take responsibility for maintaining a safe care environment.

•           Exercise professional accountability and responsibility using professional skills, knowledge and expertise in changing environments and to work within the scope of professional practice.

•           Take responsibility for leading and ensuring that education; planning and treatment for young people and their families experiencing their first episode of psychosis is evidenced based and treatment is recovery focused and delivered to the highest standard.
