Children’s Home Chesterfield is currently recruiting for Night Residential support worker to join their family. Children’s home Chesterfield is a division of Priory Education and Children’s Service based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. It is a 3 bedded home support children aged 8-18 years with Autism and challenging behaviour.


The homes provide a modern setting in which the children can achieve an enhanced degree of emotional stability through an active approach to learning and social engagement.
The children are encouraged to engage in daily life activities to increased confidence, self-esteem and independence.


As a night support worker, you will be a key member of our children’s home team providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our young people overnight. This is a physically demanding role staff must have the confidence to deal with the challenging behaviours that autism can present.  Staff must have the ability to communicate with children of all levels, must be approachable but stern when required.

This is a part time role where you will complete approximately three 10 hour night shifts per week, 10pm - 8am. 

This will be a 12 month maternity cover position, with the opportunity to become permanent.

Successful applicants ideally should have previous experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour, however if you have the right personality we will support you to gain and develop the experience.

For all roles we require a minimum of two references.  References provided must cover the last 3 years, for all of our services we will need to request all references from where you have worked with either Children or Vulnerable Adults.
