Job Advert Role Description

The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation, acute services and PICU services.

Reporting to our Director of Clinical Services the Night Manager will work alongside the unit managers and the night manager team. In this role you will  be responsible for overseeing the hospital at night, providing leadership and support to the ward based nursing teams and providing clinical supervision.  He / she will ensure that a high standard of patient care is provided and that the unit complies with all quality standards and statutory requirements.


Our hospital encompasses 11 wards, 7 of which are 24 hour admission wards the successful candidate therefore must be competent in the management of referrals and able to prioritise admissions.


Essential criteria:



Post registration experience

Experience at carrying out deputy manager or equivalent roles

Good working knowledge of the Mental Health Act

Ability to undertake physical requirements of MVA

Ability to be responsive and flexible

We are looking for someone that can lead the hospital at night and ensure safety to adherd to at all times.


Desireable Criteria

Experience working in PICU / HDU / LS

Experience of working in CAMHS


Benefits include: Annual leave entitlement of 33 days (includes 8 bank/public holidays), with additional leave for long service, a contributory pension.
