If so, the role of Residential Support Worker could be right for you!  As a Residential Support Worker you will ensure that the children and young people in your care are safe, healthy and able to make a positive contribution, realising their full potential through enjoyment, achievement and economic well being.
 
This is a 52 week post and you must be prepared to work on a shift system including early, late and weekend shifts.

To succeed in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Emotional resilience
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness
  • A strong 'can do' attitude
  • Effective communication skills
  • Previous experience in a special needs environment would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given to candidates who are keen to learn whilst working as part of our team.
  • The successful applicant will need to hold a clean driving license for at least 3 years.

Linden House is a small and well equipped children's home which accommodates children and young people with a primary diagnosis of moderate to severe autism with moderate challenging behaviour and associated conditions such as ADHD and Tourette’s Syndrome.

Linden House is a detached bungalow situated in a pleasant, rural location with picturesque views and open fields; it is steeped in history, particularly the civil war. Situated close to the village of Old Basing it has excellent national transport links and offers it's residence the opportunity to access community activities and facilities.
