Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for the prominent post of Lead Practitioner to assist with the management of day to day operations within our service. Fundamental to your role will be the engagement in, and management of, each child’s plan and ensuring these plans are managed with the highest standards of care and professionalism.

The Lead Practitioner will work alongside the Registered Manager to instil our team with the vision and values and ensure the organisation continues to achieve its desired quality standards. You will build relationships with the children and young people and be a driving force in their journey towards achieving positive outcomes.

The successful candidate will be fully SSSC registered and hold the relevant qualifications at degree level or managerial level

Troup House School is a specialist day and residential school that provides care, support and education for up to twelve young people aged 8 to 16yrs. Our children and young people have additional support needs related to emotional and social difficulties including autistic spectrum disorders and challenging behaviour.

Troup House are now looking to expand their services as part of the Priory Group, we continue to provide a unique living and learning environment in support of some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the country. The Troup House team assists children and young people aged 8 to 18 years to be fully included within the local community and to ensure they have the capacity to prosper beyond Troup House in the wider post-school world.

As the development of our service continues into 2019/20 so do the opportunities for you to contribute to the care experiences  of Looked After Children in Scotland within a School Care Accommodation service.
