Job Advert Role Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Development Director to join our team and support our growing business. The Service Development Director will support and oversee the Service Development Managers in our NHS Healthcare team. The role holder will be responsible for NHS-facing Healthcare sales and service development nationally, and will take ownership of reporting, managing the team’s performance and ensuring all targets are met. The role holder should have experience in a similar setting, have a firm understanding of the NHS and Healthcare Service provision and a strong track record of innovation and making noteworthy changes to a business.

Service Development Director duties include but not limited to

  • Providing effective and proactive reporting to the business on team performance and output (Salesforce).
  • Providing effective and proactive reporting to the business on current and forecast ADC.
  • Create effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proactively contribute to cross-divisional initiatives and drive the SDM team to maximise cross-divisional opportunities.
  • Provide market analysis on prospective sites and business opportunities to ensure viable options are fully explored.
  • Monitor and update the business on competitor activity, initiatives and customer trends. Actively seek partnership opportunities where appropriate.

What we would like from the Service Development Director

  • Graduate level or equivalent and a proven track record of business development, ideally within the health care sector and/or experience of development of new services.
  • Strong analytical skills and detail orientated.
  • Well-established network with key referrers and proven track record of building new relationships and influencing change.
  • Experience gained within a relevant position requiring business acumen and highly developed associated skills.
  • A detailed knowledge of the NHS commission landscape and healthcare service provision.
