Job Advert Location Description

The Priory Hospital Altrincham is located in a beautifully appointed and tranquil part of Cheshire. With access to an on-site Doctor 24 hours a day, we ensure a safe and comfortable atmosphere at all times. Our senior consultant and therapist-led teams are also supported by 24 hour, expert nursing care. 

We are one of the UK’s leading centres for the treatment of depression, anxiety and addictions and we provide consultant and therapist-led treatments for 50 patients on an inpatient or outpatient basis.

The striking manor-style house which stands upon beautiful, landscaped grounds provides a peaceful and homely feel to the hospital, delivering the perfect environment for treatment.

Job Advert Role Description

We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Healthcare Assistant to work on Tatton Ward, a 17 bedded adult acute general psychiatric ward.

Applications are welcomed from candidates who have:

A minimum of two years’ experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a similar environment.

Been educated to a minimum of NVQ 1 or GCSEs in Mathematics and English

Basic IT Literacy skills

Completed Care Certificate training or the equivalent with a previous employer.

Undertaken the relevant training to take on the role of phlebotomist (this is a core part of the role).

A professional approach to working as part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team and in developing and maintaining professional relationships with patients, colleagues and visitors.

The ability to work to the highest standards ensuring service users receive a quality service

The ability to be a role model to junior colleagues

The ability to support the ward in the induction of new staff
