Priory Hospital Ellingham is situation in Attleborough, Norfolk and offers a specialist Neurodevelopmental CAMHS Tier 4 and a Low Secure Service for young people age 12 to 18 years. You will be part of an extensive MDT.

Job Advert Role Description


Our Social Worker  role involves:

•           Delivering a set of agreed service level standards within a personalised recovery model of intervention.

•           Undertaking complete social histories and risk assessments

•           Inter professional working to ensure a robust discharge planning

•           Implementing safeguarding vulnerable children procedures

•           Be the first point of contact for parents

•           Undertaking carer assessments and care support

•           Working within a Multi-Disciplinary Team

•           Commitment to anti-discriminatory and anti-oppressive practice, and to empower patients to the fullest extent.

•           Liaising with all statutory agencies and professionals

•           Maintaining regular communication with parents/carers

•           Developing positive working relationship with other services in Norfolk and Waveney, attend regular meetings as part of the safeguarding board.

•           Attending and contributing to all Ward Rounds

•           Undertaking role of safeguarding lead managing all safeguarding concerns, disclosures or allegations

•           Maintaining up to date recording keeping and follow procedures of reporting information

•           Attend regular supervision and being proactive in engaging in continued professional development

•           Developing relationships with wider services as part of support package in discharge planning.




To be successful Social Worker, you’ll need:

•           To hold a Social Work Qualification recognised by the Health Care Professional council

•           To be registered as a Social Worker with the Health Care Professional council

•           To have good understanding of the Mental Health and Mental Capacity Acts and Children Act and code of practices.

•           To be a qualified and experienced social worker in working with children with learning disabilities and/or mental health disorders.
