Job Advert Role Description

We require an Assistant House Manager for one of our residential homes located in the Preston area. Under the direction of the Registered House Manager, you will effectively lead the team of support workers and enable the delivery of care and education to all the students and young people. You will effectively guide and manage the team and ensure that the service complies with local procedures and corporate policy, statutory regulations and quality standards.

NVQ Diploma Level 3 Caring for children and young people and relevant experience in a children's residential setting is essential. If you are dedicated, devoted and able to see the possibilities of all our exceptional learners we would like to hear from you. 

As a member of the residential care  team you will provide residential care for boys and girls aged 6 to 19 who have mild, moderate and severe autistic spectrum conditions and associated complex learning needs and challenging behaviour. You will assist them with their daily lives. This could be in the form of helping the young person to School, accompanying them to take part in an activity or simply assisting them in completion of general daily tasks, including morning and night time routines

Level 3 in Children and Young People qualification is essential for this role. Successful applicants will need to have previous experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour and willing to work towards a Level 5  in Children and Young People.

Due to the remote location of our home and the duties of the role a valid clean driving license is essential.
