Job Advert Role Description

At Priory Education, we are proud of our reputation for delivering quality education and care services with positive outcomes for children and young people who have experienced difficulties in their previous education placements.

Tadley Court School is set in a beautiful semi rural location with four acres of well maintained grounds. We are a day school specialising in the education and care of children and young people between the age of 5 and 19 years who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties. Our children and young people may also exhibit challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.

We offer a safe, structured and predictable environment where students can develop the skills needed to live as independently as possible allowing them to make real life choices as they approach and reach adulthood.

To succeed, we need people who share our passion for making a difference and ideally (though not essentially as training will be given) have previous experience of autism. We are committed to safeguarding children and promoting their welfare and expect all staff to share this commitment.

This is a permanent post, working 9.00am - 2.00pm (25 hours per week) and term time only, you will support the chef in the preparation, cooking and serving of food to students and staff.

The role holder will be expected to achieve high standards of food quality and meat operational hygiene standards.  You will work as part of a small catering team in an extremely busy environment.

Previous experience of working within a catering environment would be desirable but not essential.

If you would like to find out more detail, please contact Dianne Price on 0118 981 7720.
