Job Advert Location Description

Ellingham hospital is a 35 bedded hospital offering assessment, treatment and rehabilitation to young people within the age range of 12 to 18 yrs and adults aged 18-65 years.

Redwood consists of 2 wards for adults age 18  and over with acute mental health problems. The ward is supported by a robust multi-disciplinary team of professionals including psychiatrist, psychologist, Occupational therapist, OTA's and nursing and Health Care Assistants.

Job Advert Role Description

The Ward Manager position is for one of the wards on Redwood.

The post holder will be expected provide clear nursing leadership on a daily basis and support the nursing team in his or her role. Being able to work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of others within the nursing team through supervision, mentoring and positive role model. The ward is fast paced with several admissions and discharges in the week so an organised leader is essential.
