Job Advert Role Description

Seeking a permanent full time Receptionist Administrator for our specialist College. This role is to provide reception cover, answering and making telephone calls, booking in visitors and contractors,coordinating student transport and some data input.

The successful candidate must be a motivated and approachable person who has a welcoming and friendly personality with receptionist/administrator experience.

The successful candidate will have the following skills:

A good working knowledge of Microsoft, including :  Outlook, Word and Excel, with the ability to create and update spreadsheets

Excellent organisation skills and the ability to work with colleagues and external clients at various levels, this will require good communication skills both written and verbal.

Experience in an Administration / receptionist role is essential and you will have a good understanding of the importance of confidentiality and  GDPR and general administrator / receptionist duties.

Mon 0830 - 1700

Tues 0830 - 1600

Wed 0830 - 1600

Thurs 0830 - 1600

Fri 0830 - 1530

Arden College is situated in the heart of Southport, a vibrant and cultured town on the west coast of Lancashire. The college makes the most of its position and much of the extended and college curriculum is located within the community and vocational settings within the region. The college is a co-educational residential and day specialist college for students aged 16-25 years with learning difficulties and disabilities and or behavioural and social difficulties. Individual College programmes of day or residential support are available as either 38 or 52 week placements for up to a three year period and are subject to regular reviews to ensure student needs are being met. The focus is to ensure that learners are prepared for independent adult life as much as is possible.

Arden College is inspected by OFSTED and is graded as Good (June 2014). All of Arden’s residential units are inspected by CQC and are all rated as compliant (As others).
