The role is based across the UK, with need for extensive travel to sites and periodic attendance at Bristol and Hammersmith offices. This role is remote so a full UK driving licence is required.

Job Advert Role Description

The Priory Group have an exciting opportunity for an Interior Designer to join the growing business. Located within the estates team, the Interior Designer will lead the interior design activity of any project, across the spectrum of tasks undertaken by the Estates team. This will include FFE, surveys, costs, design, management of contractors, and quality control of any interior design related activity. The Interior designer will be responsible for providing all knowledge and advice regarding interior design, and will also be responsible for delivering value for money and effective cost control for individual projects, as well as helping to inform budgetary matters concerning interiors and FFE.

Interior Designer duties include but not limited to

  • Lead interior design activity for projects and refurbishment requirements.
  • Ensure all activities are within budget and where not, escalate issues to the Finance Manager and Head of Estates.
  • Assist in seeking new initiatives and modifying process to ensure transparency and value for money across the activities undertaken by the Estates team.
  • Advise on and manage any third party interior design support, including consultants and contractors.
  • Be prepared to contribute to any due diligence process.
  • Visit sites as necessary to undertake environmental and FFE audits.

What we would like from an Interior Designer

  • A formal interior design qualification is essential.
  • Experience of delivering projects to specific deadlines and budgets essential.
  • Excellent IT system skills.
  • Must be a good communicator who works well in a geographically dispersed team.
  • Must be well organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Essential that incumbent is professional, hard-working and flexible.
