Job Advert Role Description

Our Children’s Home situated in Long Bennington is seeking an experienced Housekeeper for our well-kept residential home in Long Bennington.  As a Housekeeper at our children’s home in Long Bennington you will be in charge of undertaking cleaning duties across the site ensuring a complete cleaning service is provided in compliance with Health & safety Regulations The home is situated in a semi rural location so ability to drive will be advantageous.

As a Housekeeper for our young people in the Long Bennington, Newark area you can expect a hourly rate of £8.30 per hour.


39 hours a week. 9 am - 5 pm Mon-Thursday  & 9 am - 4 pm on Friday's.

Duties will include:

  • To be able to cook meals for the young people in line with food hygiene requirements
  • Comprehensive cleaning (washing floors, emptying bins, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, dusting etc..) ensuring the service meets high standards of Hygiene and cleanliness
  • Reporting any maintenance issues (damages, faults) to management teams
  • Assist with ordering of cleaning supplies
  • To support the young people to learn independence skills and cookery skill
  • Using and storing of cleaning products in accordance with COSHH regulations
  • To be able to support the staff team with managing behaviours, help out on shift and provide help with supporting the young people.
  • Willing to undertake all mandatory training.
