Are you a passionate support worker looking to take the next step in your career? Or are you an experienced senior support worker/team leader looking for an exciting new opportunity?

Priory Adult Care is currently looking for an experienced Senior Support Workers to join our brand new facility in Harrogate. This is a residential home for younger adults suffering from learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions.

The role of Senior Support Worker will be both varied and rewarding. Reporting to the multi-site manager, your duties will include:

  • Lead the supported living staff team, ensuring the team provide high quality support to all residents.
  • Carry out medication rounds
  • Support service users, with meal preparation, chores and personal care prompting
  • Client money responsibility
  • The writing of and updating of Care plans
  • Planning and attending activities

There will also be involvement around staffing; coaching and mentoring of current staff, inducting and training of new starters and shift planning, with approximately 8 hours office time each week. As a senior support worker it will be your responsibility in supporting the residents to live as independently as possible, guiding them to make good choices in their day to day lives.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 years’ experience working within a support living role and have obtained NVQ level 2/care Certificate. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to develop further; the Priory group can offer further NVQ qualifications to management level (Level 5), a full mandatory training program, including medication training if required. Great transport links to Leeds, with the No 36 bus dropping off in Harrogate every ten minutes. This is a full-time post, the site can offer both long days (8-8/9-9) shifts and shorter shifts to fit in with school hours (10-3, 6-10pm).
