Job Advert Role Description

We are recruiting for Night Residential Support Worker for a Maternity Cover for our Children’s Home in Chesterfield. The homes provide a modern setting in which students can achieve an enhanced degree of emotional stability through an active approach to learning. Students are able to engage in daily life with increased confidence, self-esteem, dignity and independence.

As a Night Support Worker you will be a key member of our Children’s Home Team in Chesterfield, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to our young people throughout their day-to-day life. 

Our  Night Support Worker roles in Chesterfield offer a salary of up £16,185.00 - £18,000 Pro Rota.

This will be a 12 month maternity cover position.

Hours

Part Time completing approx 3 night shifts a week working 10 hour shifts 10 pm - 8 am. This will work on a shift rota of 3 shifts on, and 6 off covering both weekends and weekdays. 

This is a physically demanding role and staff will also need to have the confidence to deal with the challenging behaviours that autism can present.  We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all our employees to share in this commitment.

 

Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification is desirable but not essential for this role (we can support with the essential training of this.) Successful applicants will ideally have previous experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour, however if you have the right personality we will support you to gain and develop the experience.
