Priory Adult Care service Buckingham Lodge has a new opportunity available for a Senior Unit Manager to join their established clinical team in Carbrooke, Norfolk.

The Senior Unit Manager will join the team at Buckingham Lodge. Buckingham Lodge is a purpose built care home designed for older people requiring general or dementia residential and nursing care. Combining the highest standards of care, comfort and support, within a safe and homely environment for our residence.

The Job Role

  • Responsible for elements of assessments, planning and implementation of support for people who use the service (or potential new admissions)
  • Regular reviews of care plans and risk assessments of the residence, involving their family, care manager, key worker and others as appropriate
  • Provide clinical leadership, positive role modelling to the unit team, ensuring effective communication across multidisciplinary team, through supervision, mentoring, coaching and appraisal
  • Supports the Home Manager to ensure that the workforce are supported to complete all training required to undertake their role effectively
  • Responsible for working with the home manager in leading a team
  • In the absence of the service manager will responsible for the overall service, including providing, managing and coordinating of support for service users.
  • Develops and builds positively on existing relationships with external professionals and agencies to ensure high quality of care for resident’s
  • nurse registered holding a current NMC pin registration and have experience (2 years +) within a similar role.

For the role of Senior Unit Manager position We require a highly motivated and experienced leader who has the drive and passion to deliver excellent care and support to both staff and residence. To be considered for the role, you must be nurse registered holding a current NMC pin registration and have experience (2 years +) within a similar role.
