Job Advert Role Description

Seeking Teaching Assistants for full-time permanent position at Rugeley School.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake education support duties and assist the class teacher in the day to day needs of the students to help with their care and to enable the teacher to implement the curriculum.

Other Duties:

  • To help students progress and behaviour.
  • The help keep up to date records on the students and work as part of a team.
  • To attend training where relevant.

Autism can present very challenging behaviours, this is a physically demanding role and staff must have the confidence and emotional resilience to deal with this.

Due to the nature of this role a valid driving license for more than 3 years would be desirable but not essential.

Rugeley School, which opened in May 2000, stands at the forefront in Education and Care for children and young people aged between 5 and 19 with Autism.
