A great opportunity has arisen for somebody with a genuine interest in Communications and Marketing. The Priory Group are looking for an Internal Communications Apprentice to join the Marketing team based at Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal to aid the Communications team in writing articles, updating the Priory Intranet, organising events and supporting projects.  This role will be challenging and varied offering the successful candidate the opportunity to achieve a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification.

Communications Apprentice duties include but not limited to

  • Finding great colleague stories from across Priory Group for internal and external use
  • Writing articles for the intranet, company e-newsletter and staff magazine
  • Supporting the team by creating content for company-wide campaigns that support key projects
  • Arranging interviews with colleagues, managing colleague award nominations, managing consent for photos and diary management for the team
  • Ad hoc project support
  • Liaising with external designers and printers to produce print material
  • Helping to organise events such as the annual Priory Awards

What we would like from the Communications Apprentice

  • Passion for finding and sharing a great stories
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; an interest in creative writing an advantage
  • A creative thinker, ready to ‘think outside the box’
  • Computer literate, willingness to learn and embrace new software
  • A strong team player, open to networking across the business
  • A grade C or above in English at GCSE


  • Ability to produce short videos for the intranet and social media
  • Experience in design packages (such as Photoshop)
