42.5 hours per week x 40 weeks (term time plus 2 training weeks)

Job Advert Role Description

Unsted Park School provides specialist education for boys and girls aged 7 to 19 with Asperger's Syndrome, higher functioning autism and associated disorders. It's our aim to allow all our young people to thrive effectively within an ever demanding and complex society. Students have ambitions to live and work as self-reliant adults and we can help pupils to reach their goals with continued support, structure and guidance.

The role of the Therapy Assistant is to work within the Therapy Team across all disciplines to support our learners to achieve their outcomes in line with their ECHP.  Duties will include following the therapy planning process, assisting with target setting and implementation of targets and recording of appropriate documentation.

  • Have experience working with children and young people
  • Have passion, enthusiasm and excellent communications skills
  • Have high levels of self-motivation
  • Be able to show patience and understanding in difficult situations
  • Be a positive role model who believes in helping our young people flourish
