Job Advert Location Description

The Priory Hospital Woking provides private addiction and acute mental health treatment for 35 inpatients in Knaphill (Surrey), in addition to a full day care and outpatient service. The NHS spot purchases some beds, at times when they do not have beds available within their trusts, and therefore some patients may be detained under the Mental Health Act (1983)

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking for a part time Mental Health Act Administrator (MHAA) to support the clinical team with ensuring correct paperwork and  processes are in place for patients who are detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). The role will be working three hours per day, over five days per week (Monday – Friday)


You will work closely with the ward managers and consultant psychiatrists and will report to the Director of Clinical Services.


You will have strong administrative skills, ideally within a health care or legal setting. You must be methodical with an eye for detail, and should have some knowledge of the Mental Health Act (1983)
