Job Advert Role Description

Some of the responsibilities of the role. 

  • To act as Centre Co-ordinator for Adult Care PROACT-SCIPr-UK®.
  • Take responsibility for the delivery of the Adult Care PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Strategy to ensure the principles of person centred care, improvement in individual’s lives and ongoing reduction of restrictive practices are central to the ethos and culture across the business.
  • Be responsible for the professional leadership and consistency of practice of a national team of PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Principle Instructors and Instructors
  • Work with operational colleagues, the PBS team, and the senior management team to drive the strategy implementation plan, oversee agreed actions and work to a continuous improvement model, reviewing and monitoring success and adjusting where necessary

The successful candidate will have:

  • Expert specialist knowledge of physical intervention approaches, the monitoring and reduction of restrictive practice and implementing strategy in a related business environment.
  • Extensive experience of training physical intervention approaches and hold a PROACT-SCIPr-UK® Instructor Qualification
  • At least 5 years' experience of working with adults with an Intellectual or Developmental Disability (IDD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Mental Health Diagnoses and/or those who may display behaviours that can challenge.
  • Experience of leading a team – being able to set objectives, equipping employees to achieve those objectives and providing a range of support to help a team develop and progress its overall level of capability and contribution to the business.
  • Will have detailed and up to date knowledge of the social care industry, regulatory matters and current best practice.
