The Priory Hospital Market Weighton is looking for people to serve as Associate Hospital (Mental Health Act) Managers preferably who live locally, who can demonstrate an interest in Mental Health and Learning Disability care and who have the time and ability to contribute to the work of the Mental Health Act Managers Committee.

The Priory Hospital Market Weighton was awarded an OUTSTANDING RATING FROM THE CQC in 2018 and is a registered male independent hospital, supporting individuals with learning disabilities, behaviours and challenge and mental health issues.  Situated in the attractive town of Market Weighton the service is ideally located for safe, structured and gradual reintegration into the local community.  The purpose built hospital is an open service with the ability to lock the doors to maintain service user safety.  It can accommodation up to 15 individuals in four distinct areas providing a tiered care pathway to support them in their recovery and rehabilitation.

Job Advert Role Description

As an Associate Hospital (Mental Health Act) Manager, you will participate in the review process, the scrutiny of records, the monitoring of reports and audit/review visits to units for those service users detained under the Mental Health Act 1983.

A sessional taxable allowance is payable plus agreed travelling.

Applicants do not need to have had previous experience in the areas of mental health or learning disability. We are looking for people who are interested in ensuring that people receive the best care possible. We would very much like this group to be more representative of the geographical area and would welcome applications from all age groups and those with other protected characteristics
