Job Advert Role Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Priory Group! We are seeking to recruit a Compliance Inspector to  join our Risk and Compliance team at Priory Group. The Compliance Inspector will work within required regulatory frameworks and legislation ensuring safety and quality is and remains at the heart or everything we do. The role will cover all Priory Mental Health Services in the Healthcare division with a primary focus on Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). 

We are looking to appoint an exceptional, experienced and high calibre Compliance Inspector that will work as part of an expert team. The role will include carrying out inspections and audits, measuring compliance and identifying areas of improvement. The post holder will participate in policy & practice development in specific areas that are designed to keep our young people and service users safe.  This is a home based, remote role with national travel. 

Compliance Inspector roles and responsibility include but not limited to

  • To work across all Priory Mental Health Services in the Healthcare division with a primary focus on Child and Adolescent services, ensuring areas for improvement in safety and compliance are identified.
  • To conduct regulatory inspections, prioritised following risk assessment, to the highest possible standards in line with statutory and legislative requirements. Support sites and managers in the achievement, monitoring and maintenance of compliance at sites.
  • To provide agreed specialist advice, coaching and mentoring to staff within the division particularly in relation to patient safety, risk management and best practice. This will adopt an informal and structured approach
  • Work closely with support functions such as Health & Safety, Estates, People Development and the Priory Academy to ensure action plans and projects are progressing as required and having the required impact at site level.
  • To provide robust reports on compliance and risk of non-compliance, highlighting areas of concern and assist with the monitoring and implementation of solutions

What we would like form a Compliance Inspector

  • Registered Nurse or equivalent professional 
  • Experience in Health and Social Care 
  • Experience and knowledge of Child & Adolescent Mental Health services in a hospital setting will be a distinct advantage for this role. 
  • Understanding of the relevant regulatory 
  • Ability to provide on site coaching and mentoring to front line staff
  • excellent report writing skills and the flexibility to operate in a remote based national role
