Job Advert Location Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work at priory hospital east Midlands.  Located close to the M1 Priory Hospital East Midlands provides mental services  for women aged 18 years or older it also incorporates a locked rehab unit in Newark.

Job Advert Role Description

You will be expected to be an active and involved member of the multidisciplinary team with an initial emphasis of developing a service to our PICU. This is a 10 bedded female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit that cares for individuals with the highest level of mental health needs who require intensive  support and a safe environment


Due to the complex needs of the patients we are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and forward thinking occupational therapist who already has significant post registration experience working in acute mental health services.


Working as a member of a multidisciplinary team you will provide specialist assessments and interventions (individual and group based) for your patients,


Supported by the hospital management team and  a  lead occupational therapist you will be responsible for the day to day co-ordination of the OT service at priory hospital east midlands in conjunction with a graduate OT and  technical instructors 

There is a supportive regional OT team and good opportunities for professional development.  Supervision will be offered by the lead OT.

To be successful as an Occupational Therapist, you will need

•           To be a qualified occupational therapist with HPC registration.

•           Significant post registration experience working in acute mental health services
