The Priory Hospital Altrincham is located in a beautifully appointed and tranquil part of Cheshire. With access to an on-site Doctor 24 hours a day, we ensure a safe and comfortable atmosphere at all times. Our senior consultant and therapist-led teams are also supported by 24 hour, expert nursing care. 

We are one of the UK’s leading centres for the treatment of depression, anxiety and addictions and we provide consultant and therapist-led treatments for 50 patients on an inpatient or outpatient basis.

The striking manor-style house which stands upon beautiful, landscaped grounds provides a peaceful and homely feel to the hospital, delivering the perfect environment for treatment.

Job Advert Role Description

An opportunity has arisen for a part time Chef to be part of our experienced and committed catering team working at The Priory Hospital – Altrincham.

 

The role holder will be assist with the provision of the catering service at the hospital with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation, cooking and serving of meals.

 

Key Accountabilities for the role holder will include:

Undertakes the planning, preparation and cooking of meals, taking account of any special requests or dietary requirements within the unit.
Ensuring operational standards are met with regards Assured Safe Catering policies and guidelines.
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.

 

The role holder will be expected to work 30 hours per week working five days over seven.  Hours will vary dependent on the shift worked but the role holder will not be expected to work later than 6.30pm.

 

The role holder will be expected to hold a NVQ2 or equivalent or ‘Qualified by Experience’ in Catering together with a basic qualification in food hygiene and will have experience of working in a professional kitchen environment.

 

The role holder will work in a busy kitchen environment and have the ability to remain calm under pressure and be adaptive in their thinking.
