Priory Hospital Burgess Hill is located in beautiful West Sussex and offers the opportunity to gain experience across many specialist mental health disciplines including Secure Services, a DBT Locked Rehabilitation service, HDU Services and Acute care.

With a CQC rating of GOOD across all 5 Key Lines of Enquiry, you would be working in a forward thinking hospital supporting our patients recovery alongside a highly skilled and dedicated Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Job Advert Role Description

The Priory Hospital Burgess Hill is currently looking for a Maintenance Lead who is dynamic, self-motivated and flexible, to lead our hospitals Maintenance team as well a perform a variety of other duties.

 

Our Maintenance team provide a high quality service to our patients through contributing to the delivery of effective and efficient day-to-day maintenance to ensure the safety of our staff, service users and visitors. Working within our Maintenance Team, you will complete weekly reports, undetake specialist plumbing, electrical, and redecoration maintenance, as well as respond to all maintenance requests from around our hospital. Additionally the role will require you to manage your team and perform appraisals, as well as supervise external contractors and assist with all major capital projects.

 

Due to the nature of the role you will also need to manage, as well as participate in, a rota and our on-call system (for emergancy maintenance).

 

What do we need from you?

 

 - NVQ or C&G in a craft trade (carpentry, electrical, plumbing)

 - Good building / maintenance background

 - Awareness of Health and Safety and security regulations

 - Experience working within healthcare or a hospital setting would be beneficial

 - Clean driving licence

 - Basic computer skills

 - A flexible and positive approach to working

 - Common sense approach to work
