Job Advert Location Description

Kemple View is  a hospital with 6 wards including Low Secure and Locked Rehab for male service users only.

Many of our patients have previously been in high, medium or low security. We aim to work collaboratively with our patients enabling them to take increasing responsibility for managing their own risks leading to a controlled and graded discharge. Where a patient requires greatest support we offer contextual risk management, enhancing compliance and aim to improve their quality of life. We serve the patient, carers and visitors.

Kemple View also has a dedicated and purpose-built ward offering Low Secure Forensic Specialist Older Age service for patients over the age of 50.

 

Job Advert Role Description

The new candidate will work as part of a team within the kitchen and under the catering manager. The kitchen will be busy as they must prepare meals for staff and patients. The candidate must have a valid UK driving licence as driving across site is an essential part of the job role. 


Assists with the provision of a catering service within a Priory unit with particular emphasis on the planning, preparation, cooking and serving of meals. This role will include weekend working. 


Key Accountabilities

1. Undertakes the planning, preparation and cooking of meals, taking account of any special
requests or dietary requirements within the unit.
2. Takes full shift responsibility for the catering operation (in the absence of the Head Chef).
3. Ensures the cost-effective and efficient control of stock including placing orders for food
products and the checking/reconciliation of deliveries. Ensures that wastage is minimised.

4. Assists the Head Chef by researching and creating new menus ensuring meals are of a high quality and compliment healthy eating guidelines.

5. Supervises assigned catering staff ensuring their quality of work continues to meet required
operational standards and the company’s Assured Safe Catering policies and guidelines.
