Job Advert Location Description

Set in 48 acres of grounds, Priory Hospital Ticehurst provides a calming and therapeutic environment, specialising in the management and treatment of mental health problems. The hospital has residential facilities for 69 service users, as well as offering outpatient services.

Our highly experienced team, including consultant psychiatrists, therapists, nurses and support staff, have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.

Job Advert Role Description

We are excited to be expanding our service with the addition of a newly purpose built CAMHS Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) unit in the spring of 2019. We are seeking a full time Ward Manager to support this new unit.  The successful candidate will manage the ward and it's resources taking appropriate action to ensure that standards of care are exceptional. You will be responsible for ensuring care plans reflect the needs of patients and that your staff receive timely clinical supervision, appraisal, CPD and complete mandatory training.

 

The CAMHS nursing team work closely with our established mental health professionals including consultant psychiatrists, doctors and the committed therapy team. You will have the support of our excellent health care assistants. SMT will listen to your thoughts and ideas and you have the opportunity to be really inolved with and to influence  the future direction of our CAMHS services. You will provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team. You will therefore act as a visible role model to promote a culture of learning development and team vision.

 

We are seeking applicants with:

RMN/LD Qualification

Current NMC registration

Experience of managing others

Willingness to complete further clinical, managerial and leadership training

Computer literate - you are responsible for e rosters
