Job Advert Location Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Regional HR Advisor working in the Priory Adult Care division of Priory Group. This is a maternity cover role supporting the North region, which includes North England, Scotland and Northern Ireland and will report into the HR Business Partner for that region. Travel around the region will be required in this role.

The Regional HR Advisor will provide guidance, support and coaching to managers in the region with regards to HR policy and procedure. The successful candidate will liaise with, and build robust relationships with Site Leaders, HR colleagues and the regional Senior Management Team to deliver commercial and customer focussed employee relations and broader generalist HR advice and support.

This is a regional role that will be based either Remotely or at our Darlington or Leicester Office with travel required to support the North Region.

Job Advert Role Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for Employee Relations queries for managers in the region; provide advice in a coaching manner to ensure managers are empowered to make future decisions based on knowledge gained.
  • Support sites on complex cases including attending hearings, investigation meetings, appeals as appropriate and liaise with HR Business Partner on complex issues to ensure consistency.
  • Lead on absence management, including recording and reporting processes to minimise impact on service delivery
  • To provide insight into recruitment and retention challenges at sites, providing support to the resourcing process as required and directed by the HR Business Partner.
  • Design and deliver workshops and training for managers on people-related policies and procedures in conjunction with the People Development team and other relevant parties
  • Support the HRBP in effectively driving the Employee Engagement Survey (EES) including action planning design and follow up, reviewing trends in the region and proposing to the HRBP and Operations Directors any regional wide activities as a result.
  • Carry out listening groups and support the exit interview process to ensure we are actively receiving feedback from colleagues and taking action where appropriate.
  • Work closely with the PAC Central Payroll team to support any payroll related issues between site and the team as appropriate, including input into the annual pay review process.
  • Establish close relationships with managers, HR colleagues and ‘Your Say Forum’ employee reps within the region.

Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience of working either at an HR Advisor or HR Officer capacity and will have undertaken some HR study or be working towards a CIPD qualification.
  • Be proficient in IT with Excel, Outlook and Word to intermediate level.
  • You must have a full valid UK driving licence and flexibility for frequent regional travel – possible overnight stays.
  • It would be advantageous to have prior experience in social care sector.
