Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is a low secure unit for men with mental illness and personality disorder, Located in Gainsborough in Lincolnshire, Priory Hospital Lincolnshire has 28 beds to support those who are detained under the Mental Health Act.

Our service consists of two wards:

Cedar - 14 bedded ward for men who require stabilisation and support to decrease their levels of challenging behaviour

Ash - 14 bedded ward providing continuing care with a focus on rehabilitation and community reintegration and preparing the person to move further along the care pathway or to community living

As a result of career progression, a social worker vacancy has arisen at Priory Hospital Lincolnshire, Gainsborough


The successful applicant will be joining an expanding and exciting multi-disciplanry team who are committed to quality improvement, personal and professional development, and enjoyable working lives.


The Social worker is part of, and provides the clinical social worker input to, a multidisciplinary team that aspires to provide excellent bespoke care to enable our patients to fulfil their recovery goals and work towards discharge to the life they want.


The successful applicant will join an established MDT on the unit, which includes a responciable clinician, ward managers, nurses, psychologist, an OT, and an Advanced Practitioner.   


The successful candidate will be joining a stable and well-run site, which has strong governance.  The successful applicant will be expected to take an active role in service, carry a case load, take lead on all social worker related issues, bieng the DSO of the site , providing safegaurding training, providing appropriate support and advise  to the team, pateints and relatives.The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in working in a forensic environment in a male rehabilitation service, as well as a demonstrable commitment to innovation, evidence-based interventions, multi-professional working and service-user involvement.
