The Priory Hospital Altrincham is located in a beautifully appointed and tranquil part of Cheshire. With access to an on-site Doctor 24 hours a day, we ensure a safe and comfortable atmosphere at all times. Our senior consultant and therapist-led teams are also supported by 24 hour, expert nursing care. 

We are one of the UK’s leading centres for the treatment of depression, anxiety and addictions and we provide consultant and therapist-led treatments for 50 patients on an inpatient or outpatient basis.

The striking manor-style house which stands upon beautiful, landscaped grounds provides a peaceful and homely feel to the hospital, delivering the perfect environment for treatment.

Job Advert Role Description

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and committed Medical Secretary to support private outpatient work and the Hospital’s Medical Director.

 

The role holder will provide efficient, professional and effective administrative/secretarial support to the Medical Director at site.

 

Responsibilities will include diary management, ensuring efficient coordination of meetings and other associated events and functions.

 

Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential in handling both external and internal enquiries and applying appropriate prioritisation.

 

Experience in the use of Microsoft word, excel and other databases is essential.  The post holder will have a flexible approach to problem solving and will be able to cope with the demands of a range of priorities and deadlines.

 

The role holder should be educated to GCSE or equivalent standard and will have a minimum of one year’s experience within an administrative, clinical or other appropriate background. An understanding of medical terminology is desirable.
