Job Advert Role Description

Atkinson Court (formerly part of Amore Care) is a newly refurbished, purpose-built nursing home located in Cross Green in Leeds. The home provides support for up to 75 older people with physical needs who require assistance and care.

The homely and comfortable environment which has been finished to a high standard enables us to provide a person-centred approach to our care that can be tailored to the individual needs of our residents.

The home is designed to meet the needs of older people, providing comfortable lounge and dining areas throughout. There is a quiet room where residents can relax and listen to soothing music and the attractive enclosed gardens and roof garden provide residents with a relaxing place to sit and enjoy the outdoors.

Atkinson Court is situated in the heart of the community and enjoys views across Leeds. The home also has access to a mini-bus which is used to arrange regular day trips for residents including shopping, local visitor attractions, cafes, libraries and more.

The work is both interesting and varied. You will support the Clinical Teams who deliver specialist care to our residents, of course. But you will also play a major role in making the lives of our residents as happy and fulfilling as possible – not just by showing real warmth to them and their families, but by continuously looking for ways to engage their interest and enhance their experience every day.

Duties will be as follows

  • Process payroll for monthly and weekly paid staff using the Priory Payroll systems working in conjunction with the Central Payrol Function.
  • Undertake the full remit of recruitment administration in conjunction with the Service Manager and the Central Resourcing Team to ensure that candidates move successfully through the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Process expenses, orders, raise cheques, deal with suppliers on a regular basis.
  • The post holder will be responsible for petty cash reconciliation and dealing with client monies.
  • The post holder will deal with incoming queries to the service and must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Undertake preparation for meetings and take minutes at meetings as requested.
  • Support the Home Manager and wider Service with Administration such as letters, memos, email communications.
  • Undertake diary management.
  • Any other duties requested by the Service Manager.

Provides efficient and effective administrative and secretarial support to the home, including document and report production, telephone enquiries, diary management, payroll input meeting and greeting visitors and other administrative tasks as appropriate.
