Job Advert Role Description

Tadley Court School is part of  Priory Education, one of the UK’s leading providers of schools and colleges for young people with complex needs. The Gatehouse is a residential home on the grounds of Tadley Court School.

Set in a semi-rural location within four acres of beautifully mature grounds,  specialising in the care and education of pupils between the ages of 5 to 19, who are diagnosed as being on the autistic spectrum with associated learning difficulties.  Children may also have challenging behaviour as a result of their communication difficulties and lack of social understanding.

As a Residential Support Worker you will ensure that the children and young people in your care are safe, healthy and able to make a positive contribution, realising their full potential through enjoyment, achievement and economic well being.

This is a 52 week post, working 42.75 hours per week. You will work in the residential setting but will also spend time in school supporting during the academic day. You must be prepared to work on a shift system including early, late and weekend shifts. 

You'll be working 2 days on and 3 days off - working double shifts from 07:00-22:15.

•           Previous experience in a special needs environment/school would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given.
