Pennine House School is located within Pennine House which is situated within the grounds of Fairfield General Hospital in Bury. Pennine House is a Tier 4 Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) which provides treatment, education and therapeutic support for young people aged between 13 and 18 who are suffering from a range of complex mental health difficulties.  The 22 bedded service, which is managed by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust, comprises of two wards; Hope Unit which has 12 beds and an average length of stay of 12 weeks and Horizon Unit which has 10 beds and an average length of stay of 12 months.

Job Advert Role Description

You will contribute to the effective implementation of individual programmes by supporting the teaching and learning experiences, which enhance the learning and development of young people. You will assist with the management of the learning environment, ensuring that any behavioural or physical occurrences are addressed promptly. You will assist senior staff by contributing to the development of care and learning plans and contribute to the preparation of reports and update daily records and logs. You will maintain a professional relationship while developing a good rapport with young people.

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic people to join our friendly team, working with a unique group of young people.

Knowledge & Skills

An NVQ2 qualification (or equivalent) which is appropriate to the teaching and learning environment of learners and young adults.
