Job Advert Location Description

Elm Park is a 17 bedded Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit in Ardleigh which specialises in the assessment, care and treatment of adult residents (18+ years) with an acquired brain injury.

Job Advert Role Description

As the hospital’s Social Worker you will work in conjunction with the Elm Park trans-disciplinary team to offer rehabilitation and support to service users with neurological conditions.

You will also support service users in maintaining their social networks, family contacts, active links with external professionals and to ensure their legal rights continue to be upheld in line legislation.

This is a part time role for 22.5 hours per week.


Our Social Worker role involves:

•           Managing an active and complex case load, providing social work support to service users at Elm Park, Elm House and Elm Cottage

•           Being an active participant within the Elm Park team, offering one-to-one services for service users

•           Attending TDT meetings, clinical reviews and CPA meetings

•           Preparing and presenting reports

•           Attending managers’ reviews and Mental Health Tribunals


To be successful as a Social Worker within Elm Park, you’ll need:

•           Social Work Qualification

•           Good communication skills

•           Interpersonal skills

•           IT skills

•           Aptitude to manage and utilise information technology

•           Skills to liaise with external professionals and families
