The Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence in our eating disorders, adolescent, rehabilitation and PICU services.

Job Advert Role Description

Set within landscaped gardens, the supportive environment of the Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal offers a comprehensive inpatient specialist mental health service for young people and adults. The service is dedicated to providing innovative, high quality care and treatment for service users. The psychology department has close academic and clinical links with the Universities of Manchester, Liverpool, Lancaster and Salford.

We are looking for a qualified Clinical / Counselling Psychologist to support the growing success of our Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU) services.  The role will be across our adult male and female PICU units and will involve undertaking specialist psychological assessments, co-facilitating groups, delivering specialist psychological interventions, provision of consultation and supervision, and actively contributing to the development and continuous improvement of our service provision.

These positions call for professionals with HCPC registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist and a doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology. You must be able to demonstrate the clinical, consultation and leadership skills needed to offer an outstanding psychology service. First-class communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills are, of course, essential.
