We are looking for a dynamic, confident and innovative leader to assist operations undertaking the role of Registered Manager where and when required and/or support current home management teams in attaining good or above Ofsted ratings. You will ensure that the services comply with statutory regulations, governance and quality standards and that our young people experience first class care packages.

The successful candidate will be compassionate in nature with a resilient and mature attitude. They will be able to handle tough situations and challenging environments. To be most effective this role will require you to be committed to the process by being physically present at sites.

This is the opportunity to make a difference to our residential services and ensure the highest standards of support and compliance throughout the organisation.

Travel will be required so you must be prepared to stay away when needed (expenses will be covered).

Responsibilities will include:

  • Taking residential services to the highest possible standards of care, support and compliance
  • Ensure that young people experience high class care packages
  • Ensure that the teams within the homes are confident and focused on proving high quality care and support
  • Manage occupancy in order that new young people are properly welcomed and integrated into the homes
  • Manage all financial arrangements to budget

To achieve this you will need to be able to:

  • Lead and motivate different teams
  • Create and develop strong relationships – both internal and external.
  • Promote a strong Compliance and Health and Safety ethic
  • Make the most efficient use of the homes’ resources
  • Contribute to the referral process
  • Demonstrate a passion for making a difference to young people’s lives

The successful applicants will need to have had a wide range of experience as a child care practitioner within Children's Services or Education having managed teams in a residential setting.  A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or equivalent is essential.  Full clean driving licence is required.
